This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for December 19, 2008:
In between contractions, while being flooded with endorphins. The pauses between labor contractions are the most amazing place ever. So calm, so powerful, so full of light and peace. Unbelievable. Then a contraction would come and turn my world upside down, and then the calm would come again and I would float on the beauty of the Goddess wrapping me in her arms. I was totally present, totally in my body, glowing with the power of birth.

I love the way you write - thank you :-)
That is beautiful! Childbirth is magical in itself. I can imagine it must be even more so done consciously.
oh yes, a time i will always remember so clearly. the most beautiful and amazing time. peaceful and joyous, the pain did not matter……….
Wow! In the five years since my son was born I have not heard one mom describe a birth experience similar to mine– and here there are TWO!
The memory of pain fled long ago but the peace between– the peace where I learned my body’s capability and strength– remains still.
